Justice: The Antidote to Chaos
Justice is the bedrock of rightful rule—its firm foundation transforms raw power into benevolent authority. The Right to know We believe that the right to know is a core element of the Rule of Law. The principle of political accountability must be upheld to improve the full application of the Rule of Law and to prevent human rights violations.

Marco Pannella
Honorary President
Marco Pannella established the Global Committee for the Rule of Law (GCRL) in March 2016, two months before he passed away two months later. He served as Honorary President and upon his death the GCRL was named after him.
A long-standing MP and MEP Mr. Pannella was largely inspired by Italian philosopeher and president of the Liberal Party, Benedetto Croce.
Mr. Pannella also followed the doctrine of nonviolence of Gandhi and Martin Luther King jr, resorting to hunger strikes and sit-ins. Marco Pannella co-founded the Radical Party in 1955 and turned it in a transnational NGO after the fall of the Soviet empire.
A staunch European federalist and supporter of the rule of law, democracy and human rights, Mr. Pannella is widely recognized as the father of the abortion and divorce law in Italy and the leader of many civil rights campaigns.
